Virgil Grant is the founder of Rising Tide, a seasoned organizational guide, a personal coach, and the Senior Pastor at Eastside Community Church in Richmond, Kentucky.
He has been the senior pastor at Eastside for 34 years. Over the last ten years, Eastside has grown from weekly attendance of 500 to over 1300. In addition to leading the church at Eastside, Virgil has served 120 organizations and 80 individuals as a coach, mentor, and guide.
Virgil’s journey from a broken, dysfunctional leader, to a growing, healthy, leader uniquely positions him to walk this journey with other leaders who desire clarity and breakthrough. Virgil is passionate about implementing wholistic tools for growth, using the same wholistic tools that were a part in his journey to help people become healthy leaders.
He knows first hand that healthy leaders build healthy organizations, and healthy organizations change communities - and if we change enough communities we can change the world. He practices and lives by the phrase commonly quoted by JFK, “A rising tide lifts all boats.”
Virgil holds a Master’s degree of Divinity and a Doctorate in Ministry and Pastoral Care.
He has been married to his wife, Rosemary, for 35 years. They have two children, Rachel and Jacob, as well as a daughter-in-law, Faith, and son-in-law, Brandon, and two grandchildren, Ruby and Jesse.
